Amine Tarazi
Amine Tarazi is a professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Limoges (France) where he is currently the Director of a research center, LAPE, and Head of Master and PhD programs in Banking and Finance. He was appointed as a senior fellow of IUF (Institut Universitaire de France) in 2017 for recognition of his research achievements and was awarded the Kuwait Prize in 2020. He served as a Vice-President in charge of Research and President of the Scientific Board of the University and as head of the Economics Department and head of international affairs. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Limoges in 1992 and holds a MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham (UK). He also served as a research consultant for ACPR (French Prudential Supervisory Authority), where he is currently a member of the Scientific Committee, and has visited universities in many countries. He is a research fellow of many organizations such as Louis Bachelier Institute and ERF (Economic Research Forum). He has coordinated several European Commission backed research projects and other international research programs and grants. In particular, he has acted as the global coordinator of the European Commission ASIALINK/B7-301/2005/105-139 program and is currently the global coordinator of the European Commission OPTBANK program involving various universities in Europe and Asia. He is currently an editor of Islamic Economics and Finance Letters and an associate editor of the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, the Journal of Financial Stability, the European Journal of Finance and other Finance and Economics Journals. He has served as an associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance. His current research interests relate to financial institutions, bank risk and prudential regulation. He has on his record more than 100 publications and 250 conference presentations. His work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Economic Surveys, Journal of Comparative Economics, European Journal of Operational Research and others.
Peter G. Szilagyi joined EDHEC Business School as Professor of Finance in 2021. He previously served at Central European University and Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He received his PhD from Tilburg University and held a research fellowship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Peter is Editor of Elsevier's Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money. He was previously Editor and remains Advisory Editor at the Journal of Multinational Financial Management. He is also Subject Editor at Emerging Markets Review and Associate Editor at Finance Research Letters. He was a program committee member at the European Finance Association in 2013-2016. He has held research grants with the European Corporate Governance Training Network, the SWIFT Institute and Emittenti Titoli, and consulting assignments with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. At CEU he was Head of MS in Finance and Director of Business Master's Programs, and served on the Board of Advisors at the CEU InnovationsLab startup incubator. At Cambridge, he served as Director of the MPhil in Finance.
Sabri Boubaker is a Professor of Finance at EM Normandie Business School (Paris, France). He is the editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Financial Management & Accounting (Wiley) and the recipient of "The Economic Research Foundation's Research Award 2022" from the "Centrum för Forskning om Ekonomiska Relationer, Sweden" and the best corporate finance paper award at the 2023 Asian Finance Conference. Sabri Boubaker has also been featured in the list of "World Ranking of Top 2% Researchers" database (Stanford University). Sabri Boubaker has recently published many academic papers (+100 papers) in international refereed journals. He has also edited fifteen books on corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. He is also the co-director of the book series Transformations in Banking, Finance, and Regulation. He serves on editorial boards of many accounting and finance peer-reviewed academic journals, such as British Journal of Management, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money (Subject Editor), International Review of Financial Analysis (Associate Editor), Journal of Accounting Literature (Specialist Editor – Europe), International Review of Economics and Finance (Associate editor), International Journal of Finance & Economics (Associate editor), Emerging Markets Review (Subject Editor), Finance Research Letters (Associate editor), and Global Finance Journal (Associate Editor). Sabri Boubaker is the co-founder and co-chair of the annual Paris Financial Management Conference (2013–), the Vietnam Symposium in Banking and Finance (2016), the Annual Meeting of the International Society for the Advancement of Financial Economics, International Conference in Banking and Financial Studies (2023– ). He is also the President of the International Society for the Advancement of Financial Economics (ISAFE).
Oskar Kowalewski is a Professor of Finance at IÉSEG School of Management, a member of LEM-CNRS 9221, and affiliated with the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences. He has previously held positions as Associate Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), Kozminski University, and Vistula University in Warsaw. Professor Kowalewski has a diverse range of international academic experience. In 2005, he was awarded the Kosciuszko Postdoc Fellowship for a one-year research fellowship at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Visiting Researcher at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. He has also held positions as a DAAD Professor at European University Viadrina (Frankfurt/O) and as a visiting professor at the University of Glasgow, Goethe University Frankfurt, University of Osnabrück, and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
His primary research interests lie in banking, corporate finance, corporate governance, and more recently, agroeconomics. His contributions to these fields were acknowledged in 2014 when he received a prestigious award from the President of the National Bank of Poland for his habilitation, a significant achievement in the bank's history. He has successfully led numerous research grants funded by both public and private institutions.
He currently serves as an Associate Editor in International Review of Economics and Finance and Economic Modelling.
