We, EBES, take sustainability seriously. We believe our sustainability goal will help us lower our impact on global warming and sustainability of our activities. We try to design, organize, and produce conferences and publish journals considering the impact of our activities to environment. Some of our efforts include:
- We have stopped printing Abstract Book in our conferences. Instead, we provide its soft version in our website.
- During our conferences, we provide ecofriendly pen, bag, etc. to our participants. Both our bags and pens are attached seeds that can be planted to protect the nature.
- Post-Covid, we have allowed academicians to join our conference both in-person and online. Online participation has become part of our conferences and decreased pollution as our members do not have to fly for the conference.
We believe while producing sustainable events is costly, it will help us improve our members’ experience at our conferences and help the environment in the long term.
