We have successfully organized our first conference in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference was held on June 1-2, 2009 at the historical main campus of Kadir Has University with the support of the TurkDEX (Turkish Derivatives Exchange).

We are honored to receive top-tier papers from distinguished scholars from all over the world. However, we still had to reject many of them to maintain the high standards of the conference. In the conference, 165 papers were presented and 295 colleagues from 51 countries attended our conference. We, EBES, would like to thank all of our conference participants and our sponsors for their support during the conference.
