Best Paper Award

In the 42nd EBES Conference, the Best Paper Award went to

“Why Do Governments Cut Their Deficits? Lessons for High-Debt Countries in a Post-Pandemic World” by Benedict Clements from Universidad de Las Americas, Ecuador; Sanjeev Gupta from Center for Global Development, U.S.A.; Joao Tovar Jalles from University of Lisbon, Portugal; and Victor Mylonas from University of Chicago, U.S.A.

We would like to thank to Professor John Rust from Georgetown University for his generous support to the Best Paper Award.

Runner-up paper is “Political Spillovers of Workplace Democracy in Germany” by Uwe Jirjahn from University of Trier & IZA, Germany and Thi Xuan Thu Le from Trier University, Germany.

Third paper is “Catching Up Diversification: Technology and Product Scope among Chinese Manufacturing Firms” by Lanhua Li from Zhejiang University of Technology, China; Xiaodan Yu from University of Nottingham Ningbo & Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore & Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy; Daniele Moschella from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Italy; and Can Huang from Zhejiang University, China.
